In connection with the appeal of the Mayoress (Mrs A. E. Mansford) for 100 pairs of mittens, the following is a simple pattern that lias been ollichilly approved: Colour. —Blue, grey or khaki. Materials: 3oz double knitting or wheeling 3-ply. Four No. 11 knitting needles, with points at both ends. Tension: 7-j- stitches to the inch in width (not stretched) must he obtained.
