AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT

PILOT-OFFICER HURT. 'Advice was received by Senior-Ser-geant J. Mclntyre and Mrs Mclntyre, of Palmerston North, last night, from the Under-Secretary of State for the Air Ministry, London, that their only s'on, Pilot-Officer Athol Gordon Mclntyre, was suffering from concussion as the result of an aircraft accident on June 3. Pilot-Officer Mclntyre underwent preliminary training for the ltoyal Air Force in New Zealand and sailed for England, arriving on April 9. The latest advice his parents received was that he was stationed at the training base at Uxbridge, through which’many other New Zealanders in the Royal Air Force have passed.
