(To the Editor.) Sir, —An announcement lias been made to the effect that the “Bulls Young Farmers’ Club is holding its annual ball for patriotic purposes, the prices being' 7s double ticket, etc.” In case the prices plight be too hot the patriotic purposes will remedy that; but the announcement finished up: “Half ..the profits to sthe Patriotic Fund.” If the young farmers want funds, let them advertise to that effect and not use the patriotic appeal. Are not the troops helping them enough ? —1 am, etc., DUNKIRK. 3-6-40.
