FOXTON BEACH.

At a mooting of the Foxfon Beach Improvement Society, Mr M. E. Pcrreau presided and the following were present:— Messrs G. Watehorn, C. Penny, G. Wells, W. Ingram, C. Parfitf, A. D. Macphcrson and the secretary (Mr’S. G. Rosvall). Mr Pcrreau reported on the deputation from the Mariawatu Automobile Association and other bodies interested in improvements to the camp sites and mentioned * that the Harbour Board had approved of the plans submitted to it. Mr Bond, county engineer, had offered to draw up the necessary specifications for consideration. Mr Pcrreau mentioned also that lie had interviewed Messrs McKenzie arid Brown, of the Automobile Association for the purpose of ascertaining the financial position and when this was forthcoming the matter would in all probability bo completed. The Horowhonua Power Board • wrote stating that it could not approve of street names being fixed to power poles. In lieu of this Mr W. Wilkinson had offered to supply thc posts required. It was decided that the profits from two euchre tournaments held in aid of the Patriotic Fund should be allocated to the Sick and Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, the amount 'being in excess of £B.
