SUNDAY VARIETY SHOW.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In these tremendously serious days, which many of us believe are caused by the nations having in varying degrees forgotten God, it is a sad mistake that a variety show should be permitted on Sundiay. If the people thought that by honouring God last Sunday week in response to the King’s request for a day-of prayer they were helping the noble men who are fighting for us, then surely they did the reverse by holding and attending this variety show la6t evening. God said, “Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath Day? Did not your fathers thus and did not our God bring all this evil upon us.” “Return unto Me saith the Lord, and I will return unto you.”—l am. etc.,
