WOMEN’S HOCKEY.

BROADAVAY CLUB. The annual meeting of the Broadway Ladies’ Hockey Club was held in Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s staff room, the attendance being very good. Miss P. Hancox, who was in the chair, welcomed the members and said it was very pleasing to see so many new ones. The secretary presented the balance-sheet, which was adopted. Last season’s activities were discussed, n-11 members agreeing that they were quite satisfactory. The club were again successful in winning the championship. Prospects for the forthcoming season were also discussed, it being agreed that with so many new players taking the field some very good hockey would be seen. A motion of thanks for their services was accorded Miss M. O’.Sullivan, Mr K. Collinson, and Miss U. Rees (secretary). The opportunity was also taken to extend hearty wishes for the future to the captain, Miss P. Hancox. on her approaching marriage. Miss Hancox suitably replied. The following officers were elected: Patroness. Mrs L. IT. Collinson : president, Mr H. Collinson ; vice-presidents. Mrs Houlihan, Messrs Olliver, K. Collinson. Iv. Toye. G. Rollerson, Broughton.
