OTAGO GESTURE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 31. The annual conference of the Otago branch of the Educational Institute carried 'three motions designed to provide an organised contribution by teachers to the war effort. Tliev urged expansion of effort through the central executive, pledged the Otago branch to the raising of £7OO during the next I'2 months for provision through the Red Cross Society of a fully equipped ambulance, and provided for the establishment of a bureau at which teachers prepared to give their services in free time in the interests of the war effort can register.
