GERMANS SEIZE PORTION. Received May 17, 9.5 a.m. LONDON, May 16. The News-Chronicle says £26,000,000 of Dutch gold lias fallen into German hands. A heavy bombardment prevented its shipment. The remainder is already in Britain, France and America. . A Washington message says that at the request of the Dutch Minister the Secretary to the Treasury (Mr H. Morgenthau) refroze Dutch funds, revoking the release order. The British Official Wireless states that it is now learned that all the oil in Rotterdam and Amsterdam was destroyed, and did not fall into German hands.
