LUXEMBOURG’S FATE.
HOPE FOR LIBERATION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 15. The King has received a message of appreciation from the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg for the message of sympathy His Majesty telegraphed on the day her country was invaded by the Germans. The reply concludes: “The most scrupulous regard for neutrality and for the duties inherent in its international status has not, alas, preserved liiy country from brutal aggression and the horrors of war. In the midst of our misfortune my people and I believe with unshakable faith that thanks to the powerful aid of Britain and her Allies, Luxembourg will secure the liberation of her territory and the restoration of liberty and independence.”
