HINT OF NEW METHODS. PREMIER’S DECLARATION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 17, 10.15 a.m. PARIS, May 16. The Premier (lit. Reynaud) told a cheering Chamber of Deputies that France would be victorious against Germany, who was throwing in her entire resources ’in one desperate push westwards.
“Hitler wants to win the war in two months and let loose against the focal point on the front all the tanks and ’planes he has methodically collected for many years,” added the Premier. “We may have to take measures which would have seemed revolutionary only yesterday. • “Perhaps we shall have to change our methods and men. For every failure there .will be punishment. We shall have to forge new -weapons immediately.” All buses have disappeared from the streets. They have been requisitioned for the transport of refugees.
