MANAWATU CLUB’S COMPETITION A medal round, which had been arranged for patriotic funds purposes, was played in ideal conditions by members of the Manawatu Ladies’ Golf i Club at Hokowhitii yesterday. Over 50 members participated and the following were the best cards: Mrs Pullar, 96 —19—77 ; Mrs D. V. Stewart, 91—13—78; - Miss K. Garner, 95—17—78 ; Mrs E. Wills, 102—24—78. PALMERSTON, NORTH CLUB. . A bogey competition was played yesterday oy the Palmerston North Lad- I ies’ Golf Club. The following were the best scores returned: A division (handicaps 17 and under). —Mrs E. Wilson (13), 2 down; Mrs E. (Simpson (14), 8 down; Mrs P. J. Horne (17), 9 down; Mrs B. Clarke U 4), lO down. B division (handicaps 18 to 27). — Mrs P. B. Hutchins. (26), 7 down; Mrs C. Millington (20), 9 down; Mrs C. F. Wilkie (23), 9 down; Mrs M. Tli or burn (20), 10 down. C, grade sealed handicap (over 13 holes, sealed holes ivere 3 and' 14). — Miss U. Ballinger, 88 —18 —17 —53; Mrs G. T. Bovle, 88 —10 —17 —55; Mis A. Ward. 89—16—17—56; Mrs R. Collins, 90 —10—15—59.
