After having been on the staff of the College Street School for over 13 years, Mr A. E. 11. Joblin has accepted the position of head teacher at the Kopane School and will commence his duties there on May 20. Mr John Nicholson Macintosh, formerly of Timaru, has been appointed British Vice-Consul at Santa Fe, Argentina,. by the British Consul at Rossario. Mr Macintosh is a son of Mr C. M. Macintosh, an ex-Mayor of Timaru. Mr Bruce F. Atkins, who has been radiographer at.the Palmerston North Hospital for the past two years, has been appointed to a similar position at the Hastings Memorial Hospital. Mr Atkins will commence his new duties at the beginning of July. Pilot-Officer Claude E. Frankish, only son of Mr and Mrs "E. FI. Frankish, oL Raumati South, and late of Wanganui, who has been with the Air Force in England for two years, is reported missing. His .parents were advised of this yesterday. Pilot-Officer Frankish, who was 25 years of age, was an old boy of the Wanganui Collegiate School. He went to England two years ago and joined the Royal Air Force, being on service at the outbreak of war. He was married in Luton (Bedfordshire) in April to Miss Marjorie , Townend, whose mother. Mrs A. T. N. Blair, lives in Rotorua. ’ ' ' ” '
