LOCAL ENLISTMENTS TOTAL 1123. MEN DEPART FOll CAMP. Since recruiting commenced in Palmerston North soon after the beginning of hostilites there have been 1123 registrations at the local Defence Office. This area has provided its quota for each call, and for the Third Echelon it has more than.its required number of men. A medical board will sit in Palmerston North tomorrow, when another 30. men will be examined. The men from this district who have been posted to the Burnham Camp left this centre yesterday, and the draft for Papakura Camp will depart this evening. There have been no changes in the latter list. However two recruits have been withdrawn from the list of men who proceed to Trentham to-morrow, and they have beeen replaced by Messrs A. M. Lloyd and J. L. Hart. . ..
