.Prior to their 'departure from the district +o enter, a military ..caihp.v Messrs T. Gardner and .R. Pecker ' wore met hy a larce number of Wood-, villo and Dannevirke fr’ends - end V.ten--dered a farewell at the Oddfellows’ . Hall, on Saturday night. Dahcing.^occupied the evening, music being 'plaved by Messrs L. Spolman and R. Forlass, Mrs L. Pilcher and Miss 'Williams. Mr X. K. Chapman expressed regret that Messrs Gardner and Seeker were leaving' the ■.'■district,, and wished them the best of luck. Mr Gardner replied, after winch, musical honours were accorded the guests of honour and Mr and' ' Mrs R. ,'Lilly,' who was responsible for.arranging lire function.
