CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED.

MANAWATU-OROUA POWER BOARD. Mr J Boyce was re-elected chairman of the Manawatu-Electric Power Board at its annual meeting yesterday. There were no other nominations for the office. Mr Boyce’s re-election was proposed by Mr W. P. Bickers, who said Mr Boyce had given a great deal of time to the board in the past and had all its business at his fingertips.. The motion was seconded by Mr M. A. Eliott, who said that Mr Boyce had made an excellent chairman and had given everyone a very fair hearing. Mr Boyce was declared elected, and thanked all the members and the staff for the support given him. The following committees were reelected :—Executive', the chairman and Messrs C G. C. Dermer, N. Campbell, Bickers, J. H. Mason and W. McKay; finance, the chairman, Messrs Eliott, Mason and Campbell; transport, the chairman, Messrs L. Hogg, P. G Guy and W. G. Shannon ; emergency committee, the chairman and Messrs Guy, Eliott and J. A. Nash.
