■■ DANCE FOR DEBUTANTE. Tho Foresters’ Hall, Feilding, which was fittingly decorated, provided ail attractive setting on Wednesday evening for tlie debut of Miss Marion Wil hams. Given by her uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs Ray Bailey, the party was well attended by the younger people. Balloons, streamers and other festive novelties were in evidence, the host and hostess leaving nothing undone for their guests’ enjoyment. In the supper room low bowls of flowers graced the tables. On arrival, the guests were welcomed by Mr and Mrs Bailey and Miss Williams.

Silver brocaded lame composed the bodice of the debutante’s frock and from the scalloped liip line folds of cream silk net. billowed over an underskirt of taffeta. Crescents of tiny silver flowers were appliqued on the skirt, while the hem-line was banded witli silver tissue, as were tlie full puffed sleeves. A silver rose was worn in her liair, and a dainty posy composed of roses and nerines" in pink and cream tonings, tied with pink tulle, completed a charming toilette. Mrs Bailey wore a distinctive frock of black sheer which featured a shoulder spray of shell pink orchids. Among those present were Mr and Mrs H. Foster, Mrs E. Pira.ni, Misses L.
