MONEY MARKET RATES.
LONDON, May 8. The Bank of England rate of discount is unchanged at 2 per cent. Discount and short loan rates on the London market compare with those of May 1 in parentheses as follow:—Day to day loans, 3 P-C- (2 P-C.) : fine trade bills (3 mcs.), to 3 to 3': bank bills (3mos.), 1 1-16 (1 1-16); bank bills (6mos.), li (lgd): Treasury bills (2mos.), 1 (1); Treasury bills (3mos.), 1 (1). NEW YORK. May 8. Call money is unchanged at 1 per cent.
