GERMAN REQUEST.

HUNGARIAN REPORT. Received Mav 9 10.30 a.m. LONDON, May 8. A message from the correspondent of the Associated Press -of Great Britain at Budapest says the Official Hungarian News Agency states that Germany has asked the Government for permission to send troops through Hungary. The News Agency later explained that the report was originally pub' Jished by the Belgrade newspaper Politika from its Budapest correspondent. It adds that there is no confirmation of the German demand. Officials later described the reported request for German troops to march across Hungary as a mistake.
