ITALY PACIFIC. POLICY OF co-operation; GREECE INCLUDED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) • Received May 9, 10.50 a.m. ROME, May 8. Signor Y. Gayda (Signor Mussolini’s publicist) says Italy intends to remain at peace and in friendly co-operation with the Balkan States.
The Athens correspondent of the Associated Press states that official quarters said England and Italy had given Greece “assurances sufficient to inspire confidence.” Diplomatic exchanges indicated that neither England nor Italy would infringe Greek neutrality. The Rumanian Cabinet is seizing Polish gold deposited in the Rumanian National Bank.
