FUNDS FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN.
CONCERT PRODUCES £3O
Under the auspices of the Feilding branch of the Crippled Children’s Society a successful concert was held last evening in the Majestic Theatre. The building was packed to the doors, and the support showed very clearly that the sympathies of the residents of Feilding lie with the unfortunate children in New Zealand who suffer physical disability and that they are ever ready to support the worthy cause of the society. The programme comprised items rendered by the Feilding Municipal Band, radio artistes from Palmerston North and others from Feilding. This morning the secretary (Mr GJ. Fitzpatrick) announced that the takings amounted to £37 12s, and after expenses have been paid it is estimated that there will be a net profit of £3O.
