MISS I. I. MAYO HONOURED. /The' Feilding branch of the, W.E.A. held. a meeting on Tuesday "in ;.the Community Centre, Mr A. Williamson presiding. A lecture on world affairs ,was given by Mr H. C. D. Somerset and Mr Hely (district tutor) spoke on Greek drama.- At . the conclusion of the meeting a supper party organised- by the lady memberswas : held, at which ; opportunity was taken to make a presentation to Miss 1. I. Mavo, who has been secretary of the W.E.A. in Feilding for the past eleven years. Miss Mayo - resigned from the position at, the annual meeting and Mr A. L. Brown was elected secretary. The presentation was made-by Mr Somerset, who eulogised the splendid record' of service tendered by Miss Mayo- and asked her to accept goldmounted fountain pen as a token of appreciation. Tho pen was suitably engraved and was presented on benalt Of members of the branch.
