PERSONAL.

Mr IT. M. Scott, director of the Palmerston North Technical School, visited Ashburton last week-end, subsequently attending a conference of educational officers of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association in Christchurch. Major J. N. Peart, headmaster of King’s. College, Auckland, Captain K. W. R. Glasgow, headmaster of Scots College, Wellington, and Mr R. G. C. McNabb, headmaster of John Me-' Glashan College, Dunedin, have enlisted for military service. Major Peart and Captain Glasgow are already overseas, and Sir SlcNabb will go into camp shortly. Mr H. B. Lusk is actingheadniaster of King’s College and Sir V. F. Francis is acting-headmaster of Scots College.
