TOKIO TO AUCKLAND.

TRAVEL BY AIR. Received May 8, 9.45 a.m. SYDNEY, May 8. Mr Banno, a Japanese merchant who has flown from Tokio to Sydney, plans to fly to New Zealand in the Awarua to-morrow. Thus lie will have travelled the 12,000 miles from Tokio to Auckland in eleven days. Mr Banno flew from Tokio to Bangkok in a Japanese airliner, thence in an Imperial Airways machine to Singapore, where he connected with a Dutch airliner. He arrived in Sydney yesterday 21-J hours after leaving Batavia.
