AORANGI BRIDGE

QUESTION OF LIGHTING. Mention of the fact that only a few of the light standards on the Aorangi bridge were illuminated at night was made at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce on Monday. It was suggested that, in view of the Aorangi Road being one of the main entrances to the town, the bridge should be more adequately lighted. Mr A. C. McCorkindale pointed out that the cost of maintaining the full set of lights had been found to be too much.
