FOXTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON. May 6. Sergeant A. C. Bakor, of Burnham, io at present on a visit to Foxton. Sister M. Small, of Palmerston North, formerly district nurse at Foxton, is at present visiting local friends., Mrs L. Smith, of Avenue Road, is visiting Christchurch. Miss Elsie Titcombe, of Cook Street, who has been on holiday in Auckland, has returned home. Miss Ethel Walls, who is an inmate of the Otaki Sanatorium, is making satisfactory progress. Mies J. Urquhart. dental nurse at the District High School, is spending the term holidays in Wellington. At Easton Park on Saturday the senior football matbh, Foxton v. Air Force A. was refereed by Mr J. A. Zuppicich and resulted in a win for the visiting team, the score being: Air Force 11 v. Foxton 9. Tries for Foxton were scored by Baird and Smith and a penalty goal was kicked by Devonshire. The road cycle race to Hcatherlea corner and back, conducted bv the Foxton Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club on Saturday resulted: A. Doreen 1, R. Simpson 2, D. Hussey 3.
