FOXTON BEACH VISITORS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, -May 8. Recently a deputation from the Manawatu Automobile Association waited on the Foxton Harbour Board with'a request that certain improvements be effected at the resort, at Foxton Beach for the benefit of campers and visitors. The result of the conference was a decision that the deputation should submit concrete proposals to', 'the board and these came before the monthly meeting yesterday. In a lengthy letter, Mr -E. R. B. Holben submitted details on behalf of the association of a scheme providing for the construction ot amenities to meet'the health requirements, two pavilions with ranges for use-of campers and visitors, rubbish sumps for the camping areas and cold . showere for campers. The proposals entailed an expenditure of approximately £7OO. Mr M. E. Perreau said - the Beach Im- 1 provement Committee had considered the plans and specifications submitted and they recommended their adoption by the board and urged that the scheme be carried out as soon as. funds became available. The. chairman (Mr J. Linlc’ater) said that it was most necessary that the additional and improved conveniences suggested be constructed as soon as possible. He did not know whether the hoard would bo able to go. any further than that, , however, owing to lack of._finance. He 'suggested

After a further discussion the motion was withdrawn and a further resolution was carried unanimouslv apnroving of-the Automobile Association’s plan and deciding to undertake the work as soon as funds are available.
