DAIRY INDUSTRY.

FACTORY MANAGERS CONFER. About 60 dairy factory managers and first assistants were present at the opening, yesterday afternoon, of the annual dairy factory managers’ week, which is to continue until noon on Friday, at the Dairy Research Institute, Massey College. The director of the institute, Professor W. Riddct extended a warm welcome to those present and expressed pleasure at seeing a number of new faces among the audience. He explained that most uf the lectures would be given by members of the institute staff, but several would be by other persons and visits would be made to the Tokomaru Dairy Company’s factory and the Massey College dairy factory. The president of. the New Zealand Factory Managers’ Association, Mr J. It. McDonald, manager of the Cheltenham Company’s factory, returned thanks for the welcome.
