EXTRACTS FROM “STANDARD.” MAY 7, 1910. The death had occurred of King Edward at Buckingham Palace at midnight. The Queen and the Prince of Wales were present. The British Exhibition was to be opened on May 12 by the Prince of Wales. The Marylebonp Cricket Club had decided to send a team to New Zealand during the 1911-12 season. Among those selected to tour Australia with the New Zealand Maori Rugby, football team were R. Pitihara (Manawatu), M. Winiata and H. Rawiri (Horowhenua).
