NAZI PROPAGANDA AIACHINE,
(British Official Wireless.) Received Alay 7, 10.52 a.m. RUGBY, May 0. It is noticeable that in the last 36 hours the German wireless and news services have been particularly active iu. spreading unscrupulous stories about impending trouble in SouthEast Europe. These allegations and reports are often mutually conflicting. Some issued from Berlin are denied •—also from Berlin —an hour or two &ftsr. * The exact purpose of this propaganda cannot at the moment be exactly determined, but the technique is well-known in London from previous experiences of the German methods. By spreading such reports and innuendoes, the Nazis seek to create an atmosphere of uncertainty which can be turned to the advantage of Hitler’s plans whenever they desire.
