BALKAN RUMOURS. ITALIAN ACTIVITY. CONFERENCE REPORTS. (From Daventry.) A conference between Signor Mussolini and tbe Italian Crown Prince after the latter’s meeting with tlie Pope is being linked with the efforts by President Roosevelt to stop the war spreading. Tlie Italian Minister has been recalled from London for a conference. The Italian Press continues its inflammatory tone, but the Italian people continue to voice their desire for 'peace. Rumours of troop movements and other activities, including sabotage, lx* the Balkans continue to' come tfticii and fast, as part of the German attempt to play the bogey man in the Balkans. A German report of the massing of Turkish troops on the Greek frontier is denied.
