AUCKLAND, May 6. “There is every reason to believe that ample supplies of phosphate will bo available for New Zealand’s requirements,” said Sir Albert Ellis (British Phosphate Commissioner) in an interview following his return from Melbourne, where ho attended the annual meeting of the New Zealand and Australian Commissioners. He said the work of securing . phosphate was proceeding satisfactorily at the islands. Some of the commission’s vessels had been requisitioned for the transport of foodstuffs to the United Kingdom, but others had been chartered in their place.
