INTERMEDIATE CLUB.
A meeting was held on Thursday ■evening for tho purpose of forming a Woodville Intermediates’ Club. Rev. B. P. Will iams occupied the. chair. It was decided to proceed with the formation of the club, the aims and objects of which will bo: (1) To give encouragement to young people of both'sexes to provide clean and wholesome recreation for themselves. (2) To promote a sense of corporate (unselfish) citizenship, in place of individual (selfish; citizenship. (3) To promote the social, intellectual and spiritual welfare ot the boys and girls who constitute its members. Boys and girls of Id years and upwards of any denomination will be eligible lor membership and it was decided that activities at meetings ot the club consist of play-reading and drama, singing, dancing, debating, lectures, indoor games, etc. The 'clyib. it was decided, should be selfgoverning, but conducted under the guidance of an adult committee of five with the power of veto and consisting of one member of the Holy Trinity Church vestry and the vicar, a mcmlier of the Mothers’ Union and two other ladies. The following were, elected to the adult committee: Mr T. Smith and Rev. B. P. Williams and Mesdames Harding, Coleman and Schaw.
