A message from Victoria (British Columbia) says the Premier (Mr T. D. Patullo) has announced a comprosise by which gasoline sales will be resumed after the seven-day motor fuel famine. Prices have increased a cent in Vancouver and more elsewhere. They will be effective until May 8 under special legislation, (The oil companies were refusing to sell at prices the Government set below the previous scale, although the Court; validated the price-fixing.)
