KING AND QUEEN.
VISIT TO LANCASHIRE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May /The King and Queen made a tour of Lancashire to-day, visiting docks. - aircraft and armament factories and housing estates. At Mersey Docks Their Majesties met a merchant captain who; was rescued by H.M.S., Cossack from the Altmark, in- which he was a prisoner after his ship had been sunk by the Admiral Graf- Spee. They also chatted at a naval gun factory with the commander of (the submarine Ursula, which first sighted the. German liner Bremen .‘and; later sank a German cruiser.'
