CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR RALLY.

On Tuesday evening a well attended Christian Endeavour rally was held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Representatives from the youth organisations of practically every denomination were present, the total attendance being approximately 75. A buffet tea was served at 5.45 p m. and after a song service of popular choruses the meeting commenced under the leadership of Rev. W. Garner. An inspiring and instructive address was delivered by Rev. J. G. Inkster, D.D.. of Toronto, who chose as his subject “The Person and Work of the Holv Spirit.” After some reminiscences of his experiences with Christian Endeavour work in Canada and Great Britain, the speaker testified’ to 'the value of the Christian Endeavour organisation and stressed the necessity of retaining the principle of pledged membership. A clear and convincing message was given concerning the Holv Ghost as the third person of the Godhead and His w-ork as tiie “executive” through Whom the individual transacts all spiritual “business” and also as the comforter Who takes charge of our mismanaged lives.
