AMERICAN SEAMEN.

INTERNED AT PORT SAID. SAN FRANCISCO, April 30. According to local charterers of the vessel, the British authorities removed from 21 to 25 American members of the crew from the steamer Ewa at Port Said who were on their way to the United States. The vessel is i.n the charge of a British, native crew. The shipping company understands the intervention was due to a wages dispute, also that the American Consulate is sending the crew home. It is announced in a further message that 21 seamen have been interned at Port Said after their refusal to obey the captain. Four have been placed in a detention home where they arc carrying on a hunger strike.
