WEATHER IN APRIL
RAINFALL ABOVE AVERAGE. Reporting on the weather experienced in Feilding in April, Mr F. Mason,, of Sandon Road, states that rain fell on 16 days for a total fall of 2.38 in, which amount was above average. The heaviest fall'was recorded on April 20, the measurement on'that date.being ,78in. For the four months from .January to April, inclusive, the rainfall measured 14.21 in, compared with 6.22 in for the corresponding months, in 1939. There were three frosts, in April, and that on April 4 did. considerable damage ’to garden plants. -The month .was mild, with little wind and heavy clouded skies.
