TEACHERS FAREWELLED
At Manchester Street School yesterday opportunity .* was. taken to make'presentations to Mrs 11. Sandbrook (teacher of Standard 2) and 'Miss E. Frazer (infant mistress) who are severing their lengthyassociation with the schoolin the near future. Mr F. Gaze (headmaster) presided and apologised: for the absence of Mr Z. McLeod (chairman of the School Committee). On behalf of the children, Mr Gaze presented Miss Frazer with a wall barometer and Mrs Sandbrook with: a crystal vase. He. expressed his regret that the school was losing two valuable teachers and wished'them future health and prosperity: The guests were', also the recipients'of pretty bouquets handed to. them by small pupils of the school,' . ; . .
