SLOVAKS WARNED.
ILL-TREATED MINORITY. HUNGARIAN THREAT. Received May 1, 10.30 a.m. BUDAPEST, April 30. The Foreign Minister (Count Csaky) has strongly warned Slovakia against persecuting the Hungarian minority of IGO .000. “Slovakia should not attempt to play oif Germany against Hungary because Hungary trusts the stability of Hungaro-German friendship,” he said. “All must- recognise that Hungary will act if and . when advisable, not" under .provocation. Slovakia must understand we shall defend the rights of Hungarians.” Slovak diplomats described Count Cs-aky’s warning as nonsense. They, insisted tlie Germans would support Slovakia. They denied the maltreatment of Hungarians and compared it with the treatment of Slovaks living in Hungary.
