CHANGES IN BRITAIN. CONTENTS BILLS VANISH. LONDON. April 27. J lie last morning paper contents hills for the duration of the war were seen in the London streets to-day. Posters were not banished in the Great War till 191 1. Alorning papers will not accept returns after April 29. Evening papers are permitted a few posters and Limited returns to two copies a quire. London morning papers will he limited to eight pages from April 29, except the Daily Telegraph, which will issue three eight-paged papers and oY e 7’ 10-paged papers weekly till May 20. Ihe reduction in the size of the papers does not mean reductions in the news contents, space being saved by rationing advertisements, cutting down features, arid having fewer pictures and' closer typography. Tlio newspapers appeal to their renders to save the papers for rspulping. A rimes heading states, “Save this newspaper.” The Daily Telegraph slogan is “Rave newspapers to make newspapers.”
