JAPAN’S GOODWILL.
CONSUL’S ASSURANCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 27.. The whole nation of Japan entertains the utmost goodwill towards the Dominion of New Zealand in every sense of the word, said Mr Fukuma, newly-appointed Consul-General of Japan, to-day. Air Fukuma said that the whole nation wanted to cement the cordial and close association which existed between this country and Japan. “It is my honest desire to make good friends among New Zealanders during my stay in the Dominion,’) lie said. Mr Fukuma will visit the Governor-General (Lord Galway) and the Premier (Hon. P. Fraser) on Tuesday.
