BERLIN’S PROMISE. Received April 27, 11.20 a.m. BERLIN, April 26. Foreign Press correspondents and members of the Diplomatic Corps have been summoned to hear Herr yon Ribbentrop (Foreign Minister) making a statement on behalf of the Government to-morrow afternoon. No inkling has been given for the reason of the meeting. When questioned, a spokesman said; “It will be a political statement, very important.” The Berlin radio stated that 23 German war correspondents, representing newspapers, films, and radio, have been killed since the outbreak of the war. (From Davcntry.) The newspaper Aftonbladet prints a, significant statement that the fate of the war in Norway may be the fate of Germany itself.
