AMERICAN VESSELS.
DISPOSAL TO BRITAIN. WASHINGTON, April 26. The House of Representatives Committee lias favourably reported on the Administration's Bill to authorise the Maritime Commission to sell to Britain about 100 laid-up merchantmen of a gross tonnage of 1,000,000. The sale is at present prohibited under the Merchant Marine Act. A Stockholm report says that Sweden has bought four Italian . destroyers, which are now proceeding to Sweden.
