FEILDING STOCK SALE.
SHEEP -MARKET FIRM. CATTLE STEADY. At the Feilding stock sale yesterday the fluidity of the mutton offered in the ffit sheep peits showed a distinct improvement on last week's, and there was a good inquiry for the various lines offered. Prices were fully firm throughout. In the store sheep section some particularly choice breeding ewes were submitted and a good clearance was effected, the market being inclined to harden. Lambs, which were not very plentiful, mot with a satisfactory demaud at values fully firm on last week’s rates. 1 There was a fairly good sale of winter calvors in the dairy pens, and here also a clearance was made without difficulty. Boner cattle were not in such strong demand as previously, and if anything values were easier. Little was offered in the station cattle pens, but the odd linos on sale made satisfactory prices. For fat cattle the demand was inclined to be most marked for the fully finished ex dairy sorts, and the poorer class cows were somewhat neglected. Prices were maintained at current values.
