COMING-OUT PARTY.

A [any friends of Air and Airs A. L. Porter, of Pha.rnz.vii Street, Folding, gathered at Svendsen’s Buildings on AVednesday evening, when their daughter, Miss Pixie Porter, made her debut. The hall was prettily decorated with streamers of red, white and blue and brightly coloured balloons relieved with autumn leaves and flowers. Miss Porter’s coming out frock was a simple gown fashioned of ivory georgette, featuring a niched bodice with circular skirt falling in soft folds, diamante shoulder straps and a similar fastening on the narrow belt making an effective finish. A tiny matching bolero and a. posy composed of pink and red shaded roses completed a charming toilette. Airs Porter received her guests attired in a gown of black dormc, contrast being provided by a corsage of roses in flame colourings.
