ANZAC DAY.
R.S.A. LUNCHEON. At the conclusion of the Anzae Day luncheon, on Thursday, the president of the Feilding R.S.A. (Mr McLeod), said he was pleased to see that the members had attended in good numbers and he offered his thanks to the padres, Yen Archdeacon Petrie and Rev. C’. H. Isaacson for their assistance. Mr C. H. Tate, on behalf of the R.S.A., thanked the ladies for the luncheon they had provided. ANZAC NIGHT CONCERT. The concert arranged by the R.S.A., on Thursday, proved a great success the theatre being packed to the doors. The programme was of a high standard, and at the conclusion of the concert the president of the association (Mr B. McLeod) thanked patrons for their liberal support. The R.S.A. was indebted to the artists for the excellent programme presented, and especially Miss M. Garrett .for presiding at the piano. Thanks were also due to Mr G. Groombridgc and the company for their assistance in providing the hnll and for the services of their staff. It is understood that the proceeds amounted to over £'3o. The programme opened with the New Zealand National Anthem and other items were rendered by the followpng:—Feilding Municipal Band, Mr K. .Macaulay (vocal solo), the Prince Party, (medley of popular airs), Miss Juno Kitchen (vocal solo). Miss Dicderich (vocal solo), Messrs J. and E. Fleetwood (cornet duet), Mbs F. 'Whittaker (elocutionary). Mr L. Hansen (vocal solo), Mr C. Johnston (vocal solo), Mr J. Gibson (Scottish humour), Mesdames Saudi lands and Dixon (vocal duct), Mr W. Allen (tap dance), Mrs C. Walker (vocal solos). Mr F. J. Allen acted as AI.C. Mr McLeod extended his thanks to the Feilding Bands for assisting during the day and evening proceedings.
