PERSONAL. Air and Airs F. 11. Kelly, of Westport, are visiting Air and Mrs D. Kelly. Mrs G. 11. Guy, of Melbourne. is visiting Pahiatua. Mrs" W. II Watson is visiting Wellington to farewell her brother, Mr E. Lavender, who is going overseas on active service. BUSII RUGBY UNION. At a meeting of the Bush Rugby Union a welcome was extended to two new members of the committee, Alessrs G. Alorgan and M. Smith. It was decided to open the season on Alay 4. PAHIATUA GOLF CLUB. The four-ball bogey played by the members of the Pahiatua Golf Club was won by S. K. Siddells and A. Bisset, who beat A. Alorgan and W. Cobb on the count back. The best net score' in the previous medal round was that of 73 by IV. A. Darley, who beat A. Tait and R. J. Carruthers in the play-off. AIINISTERS’ ASSOCIATION. Rev. W. E. Moore was elected president at a meeting of the Pahiatua Ministers’ Association in place of Rev. A. A. Armstrong. Air Moore expressed the appreciation of the association for the energy and enthusiasm the retiring president had always shown. A welcome was extended to Envoy Painter, of the Salvation Army, who has taken Captain Laskey's place. BALLANCE SCHOOL JUBILEE. Air J. 11. Bremner presided over a meeting of householders at the conclusion of the election of the Ballance School Committee to discuss the holding of a jubilee. It was decided to hold a two-day function at the end of next February. It was agreed to ope;i a jubilee fund, with Messrs L. Polglase and A. Sinclair as trustees. Messrs J. 11. Bremner, S. 11. Wheeler and F. Sinclair were elected a Yin ancc committee. Mr R. G. McKenzie was elected jubilee secretary. The subscription list was opened and a substantial amount was collected.
