WEDDING.
PAUSIN' A—M 0 Y XIH AN. Of much interest was the wedding celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, Shannon, on Saturday morning last, when Alary Angola, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Moynihan, was united in holy matrimony with Ivan Henry, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Pausina, Kaikohc, Bay of Islands. Rev. Father Hcrlihy, of Palmerston North, officiated, and Airs L. Dalzoll (Palmereton North) was at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a classical gown of white satin with shirred neckline, long tight-fitting sleeves, and a panelled hack falling to form a train. A short tulle veil was held in place with a knot of flowers, and she carried a sheaf of white roses, chrysanthemums, orange blossom and maidenhair fern. In attendance were iwo bridesmaids, Miss Tessin Moynihan (sister of the bride) and Miss E. AlcCashin (Wanganui), both wearing dainty frocks of white floral French organza over green taffeta. They' had green hairs, and sheafis of mauve sweet peas, lavender, sweet sultan and maidenhair fern, tied with mauve ribbons. Mr R. Pearse (Palmerston North) was best man and Mr A. Curran (Wellington) was groomsman. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers to tone, and Mrs S. Barber sang “Avc Alaria’’ during the signing of the rcg’stcr. Little _ Bernadette Moody presented the bride with a lucky silver horseshoe as she was leaving the church. Mrs W. Moynihan, wearing a model frock of prunella crepe with coat to tone, a black hat and cyclamen shaded posv, and Airs J. Pausina. wearing a teal blue model under a fur coat, and carrying a posy in autumn shades, received over 100 guest.s in the Parish Hall. Pride of place was given to a beautiful three-tiered cake made bv Mrs A. Judd (Makerua), an old family friend. Air Al. Curran (Trentham) was an able toastmaster. Mr and Airs I. Pausina left later for the north, the bride wearing a frock of teal blue with wine coloured accessories and a fur coat. Visiting relatives present were: Alesdamcs H. Rasmussen, Hittiy, Sheppard. K. Alovnihan, AJr A. Curran (all of Wellington), Airs J. Wyatt (Kaikohc). Air and Airs Pausina, who will make their future home in Wellington, were the recipients of many beautiful gifts and numerous cheques, and the good wishes of a wide circle of friends in Shannon were extended to the bride, who has been very popular in the district.
