STEADY INCREASE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 2G. Enlistments for last week totalled 720, a substantial increase on the number signed on during the previous week. The total of enlist’ilicnts at April 20 was 34,173. At the end of the week recruits so far medically examined had been classified and dealt with as follow (the figures at April 13 being in parentheses): Fit, 24,528 (24,040); temporarily unlit, 2518 (2172); permanently unfit, 4 132 (4288); in reserved occupations. 1879 (1917); dispatched to camp, 15.580 (15,502); balance (lit men) available for service, G 319 (5894).
