LICENSES FOR BAFFLES. Per Press Association. AVELLINGTON, April 26. Regulations designed to form important aid to raising patriotic funds in the Dominion were approved to-day by the Executive Council. The regulations are formulated under the Patriotic Purposes Emergency Regulations, 1939. and give authority to the ATinister of Internal Affairs to issue licenses lor the disposal of any real or personal property by way of raffle or chance conditional on the proceeds being applied cxclusivel yto an approved patriotic purpose within the scope of the regulations. Air Parry stated to-niglit that- the new provisions were the outcome of a recommendation of the National Patriotic Council, which had received many calls for tho power they gave from organisations and workers indefatigable in the work of raising war funds, benefits, and comforts for the fighting forces of the. Dominion.
